The optical transmitter applies smart AGC to balance the satellite and the DTT signals for optimal distribution across the fiber network using a 1310nm or 1550nm wavelength optical signal. Adding a Unifiber EDFA to the output of a 1550nm transmitter will amplify the optical signal and allow to extend the signal distribution to thousands of homes.
