Amsterdam, IBC 2025 – As broadcast technology evolves, the seamless convergence of satellite and IP delivery is reshaping the future of content distribution. Inverto, the leader in end-to-end DVB-NIP software solutions, Montage LZ Technologies with its Symphony SoC platform, and SEI Robotics providing the hardware integration, are jointly pioneering the global deployment of DVB Native IP (DVB-NIP) for a soon-to-be-announced PayTV operator.
At the heart of this collaboration is Inverto’s Q-Stream MABR Server and Q-Stream Gateway software stack, uniting DVB-I, DVB-HB, DVB-MABR, and DVB-NIP standards to enable flexible and hybrid broadcast services for audiences worldwide. The solution is optimized for both Symphony4 and Symphony6 SoCs from Montage, with Symphony6 offering higher performance, multiple tuner capability, and UHD services.
The partners’ next-generation DVB Native IP set-top boxes incorporate dual DVB-S2X demodulators, supporting simultaneous traditional DVB broadcast, satellite-delivered IP streams (HLS/DASH), push-VoD, and client-side targeted advertising. Functioning as a true home gateway, the device connects directly to the main TV via HDMI, while also streaming content throughout the home to secondary set-top boxes, mobile devices, and smart TVs through the Inverto Q-Stream Player apps. This transforms a single satellite feed into a comprehensive home entertainment hub, protected by secure one-way DRM.
