1. Purpose

5. Position Requirements

2, Lead the product design on behalf of FTA, participate in design reviews and evaluate design concepts

Satellite / Microwave Field Application Engineer (FAE

Position description:

1. Job Description
 The FAE shall participate actively in the design, validation, deployment and servicing of products in the field of
satellite and other broadcast reception technologies.
He or she shall head the testing and evaluation of new product designs ensuring controlled and safe introduction of new commercial products such as lNBs, dishes, multiswitches and splitters. Tests consist of live reception tests as well as lab tests (internally or with external labs) and results and conclusions summarized in complete test report.
The FAE shall also engage with suppliers, customers, such as pay TV operators, and third parties, such as certification bodies, in order to drive the acceptance and maintain the servicing of the various products. He or she shall support customers with technical issues, facilitate the debugging process, and head the after-sales support process at the company. The role shall also include routine reporting of ongoing issues, problem description, status, corrective actions and respective schedule. The FAE shall also be responsible for competitive product benchmarking and routine audits of technical performance of products received from suppliers

2. Profile
Suitable candidates shall have the following profile:
Engineering background with focus on Radio Frequency and Microwave technologies. Knowledge in antenna design is an advantage.
Experience in radio communication engineering. Importance to the level of experience and the domain in which the experience was conducted.
Deep knowledge of test equipment (antenna meters, network analyzers, noise figure meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscope, etc.), test methods and standards for satellite TV reception products leg dish. lNB, cables, multiswitches).
Experience in technical support and after-sales service to customers
Proficient in generating quality reports. Experience in excel (reports, graphs) and word software and report generation.
Self-motivated and excellent matrix-management skills to drive projects to results.

3. Languages: fluent reading/writing in English.
Travelling is required from time to time to customer's sites or external labs.
