Sales Account Manager

Position description:

1. Purpose
Manage customer portfolio and generate new accounts in line with the company sales and marketing policy. Main accounts being in the following segments:
• Pay-TV operators
• Specialized Consumer Electronic Distribution (referred to as Traditional Distribution)
• Retail Channels
• ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) customers


2. Work Relationship
Internal –All parts of the company.
External – Customers, partners, and, occasionally, suppliers.
 

3. Dimensions
Company sales – over €20M annually
Company operations over 50 countries
 

4. Principal Accountabilities
 

  • Reach sales and gross margin targets set for his customers portfolio.
  • Generating new customers thru active acquisition actions.
  • Report regularly on situation with customers.
  • Provide management with market information (new trends, competitors, regulation, etc…).
  • Deliver regular and precise sales forecasts.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction with complete relationship management (one-stop-shop).
     

5. Position Requirements
 

  • Relevant BA/BSc equivalent degree (commerce, marketing, business); advantage to engineering or other technical background.
  • Proven track records in sales operations in the CE space, preferably in TV broadcast, Consumer Electronics or Media sectors; experience in one of our key market being an asset (Germany, UK, Benelux, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia)
  • Project management competence in a sales environment. Business view on project process and ability to generate new customers.
  • Ability to quickly integrate main technical aspects linked to digital TV broadcast and reception.
     

Option 1: Excellent communications skills in English and German. Other languages are appreciable advantage.
Option 2: Excellent communication in English, French and/or German. Additional Eastern European languages are highly desirable.
 

Product manager

1. Purpose
a. Leading overall activities of product development from inception of a product, generating MRD's and creating work plans, through managing the development process while coordinating operations company-wide and ending in launching the product, creating the marketing and wrapping material and keep maintaining it after launch.
b. Seeking marketing opportunities of new product developments based on continuous analysis of competition and market dynamics.
c. Handling of on going business relations with key partners; design engagement structure with suppliers, lead negotiations, own execution of supplier operations.

 

2. Work Relationship
a. Internal – R&D, Sales, logistics, production, management.
b. External – Manufacturing partners, key component vendors, hardware and software vendors, competitors, major customers, design, translation, research and printing agencies,
 

3. Dimensions
a. Ownership of product road map and product launch
b. Managing 4-6 projects simultaneously

4. Principal Accountabilities
a. Product cycle management (pricing, product positioning, product range alignment)
b. New product strategy recommendation – the key driver for the company’s mid-term success
c. Executing projects, defining tech. Specs and user interface and generate product wrapping material
 

5. Position Requirements

a. BSEE or BSc in Computer Science, MBA or equivalent graduate degree – advantageous.
b. Technical background with marketing orientation
c. 5 years of experience in product management and project management. Work in consumer electronic [CE] environment and exhibited knowledge of product and business driver in the CE industry.
d. German native speaker and writer; fluent in English as a working environment. Other languages an advantage.
e. Good familiarity with the DVB markets. Particular experience in set top box market space is highly desirable.
f. Proven experience in working with R&D teams, external suppliers, production personnel and internal sales teams
g. European market experience and past work with Asian suppliers - highly desired
h. Exceptional matrix management capabilities, analytical and synthesis thinking, strong grasp of detail, execution and result-driven nature, creativeness and commercial oriented approach. Strong interpersonal skill is an additional requirement.
